Security
Security within ilicence is provided via extensive user access profiles and data ownership configuration - this is easily maintained by the organisation.
Entry to ilicence is secured via several methods:
  • Connectivity: SSL (Secure Socket Layer) authentication can be applied to encrypt data whilst in transit. The database cannot be directly accessed via the internet, only by procedures stored within a SQL server.
  • Client Security: Each user session is secured by the industry-standard 128bit, 32 alpha-numeric character GUID. Session timeouts activate after certain period of inactivity.
  • System Permissions: The system offers secure system username and passwords for entry. Any record, for example a contact, enquiry or property, displays the name of the user that added or last updated that record. Distributed groups can be restricted to permitted 'areas'. Edit and archive permissions are dependent on 'ownership' rights and 'Add' rights are dependent upon the user having 'admin' rights in their access profile.
  • Zero-footprint system for client PCs: Your data remains securely on our servers and not on laptops which may be stolen or mislaid.

Technical security features include:
  • Timeout inactive connections
  • User session ID
  • No access to raw data
  • 128bit encryption
Areas of functionality that are not required can be 'hidden' from view if required, or restricted to certain subsets of users.
